The Member of Parliament-elect for Ketu North, Edem Agbana, has declared his readiness to commence work in Parliament.
This announcement follows the young MP-elect’s successful completion of both online and in-person registrations at Parliament House in Accra, enabling him to join Ghana's 9th Parliament.
He expressed his excitement in a post on his Facebook page: “I have completed both online and in-person registration as the Member of Parliament-elect for Ketu North in the 9th Parliament of the Republic of Ghana. I look forward to the swearing-in ceremony and the official commencement of work.
“I am eternally grateful to God and to everyone whose prayers, support, and advice have brought me this far. I will continue to rely on you for a successful term in office.”
Mr Agbana further noted that, as he begins his tenure as MP for Ketu North, he is acutely aware of the responsibility of representing his constituents and young people across Ghana.
“I am very mindful that I represent not only the people of Ketu North but also the youth of Ghana across the country.
“May Ghana find her destiny in our collective aspirations,” he added.
Edem Agbana secured victory in the 7 December 2024 parliamentary election, garnering 41,002 votes, which represented 87% of all valid votes cast.
This marks his first attempt at the parliamentary seat.
