President Akufo-Addo welcomed President-elect John Mahama to the Jubilee House for a tour ahead of the inauguration ceremony tomorrow.
This signals the final phase of the transition process.
During the tour, President Akufo-Addo expressed confidence in the incoming administration, stating that "the country awaits your leadership from tomorrow."
"You are welcome, and Madam Vice President-elect, you are also warmly welcome.”

He assured President-elect Mahama of his readiness to support the new government as it takes over.
In response, President-elect Mahama expressed gratitude to the outgoing president and his transition team for ensuring a peaceful and smooth process.

"Thank you very much. It’s a privilege to be here with you on the day before the inauguration,” John Mahama remarked.
“We are ready with the information we’ve received to begin work immediately after the ceremony tomorrow.”
John Mahama highlighted his familiarity with the Jubilee House, noting, “The last time I was president, I didn’t live here, and so you are the first occupant of these premises but I know the geography of it."
"I want to thank you for what has been a cordial transition process. You can count on us to continue the spirit of cooperation even in government.”
The inauguration, scheduled for tomorrow, marks the official start of President-elect John Mahama’s term, as the nation looks forward to his leadership in the years ahead.
