The Eastern Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has praised the appointment of Dr Victor Bampoe as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).
According to Dr Mark-Oliver Kevor, President Mahama made the right choice in selecting Dr Bampoe to lead the country’s foremost health insurance scheme.
He believes the appointee has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to diligently serving his country and has remained loyal to the NDC.

Reacting to the appointment, Dr Kevor stated that Dr Bampoe’s competence as a health practitioner is unquestionable, highlighting his excellent performance as Deputy Health Minister during John Mahama’s first presidency.
“He has a naturally calm demeanour, but his commitment and competence in discharging his duties efficiently are top-notch,” he said.

Regarding his contributions to the party, Dr Kevor described them as significant and driven by good faith.
“Dr Bampoe has been extremely supportive, both financially and logistically, at the constituency level in Akuapem North as well as at the regional level,” he stated.
Dr Victor Bampoe was recently appointed Chief Executive Officer of the NHIA following the reassignment of Dr Da Costa Aboagye to the Ghana Health Service.
