According to the Ghana Football Association, the cancellation was due to circumstances beyond their control.
The senior women’s national team, Black Queens, stepped up preparations for this year's Women’s AFCON, with a narrow 1-0 defeat against Morocco last Friday.
The Black Queens will be making a return to the WAFCON for the first time since 2018, with an eye on one of the qualifying spots for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
