The Ministry for the Interior, on the advice of the Northern Regional Security Council, has lifted the curfews on Saboba and Bimbilla in the Northern region with immediate effect.
The decision follows a significant improvement in the security situation and the genuine commitment of local Chiefs and residents to maintaining peace in the area.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Interior for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubaraka on Monday, February 24.
The government expressed its appreciation to the chiefs, elders, opinion leaders, youth, and the people of both communities for their efforts in fostering stability.
It also urged residents to continue using peaceful means to resolve disputes and sustain harmony.
