Ghana Athletics President, Bawah Fuseini, has declared the Security Services Sports Association (SESSA) Games as "completely dead" after years of dormancy.
The Games, which involve several security agencies, including the Ghana Armed Forces, Ghana Police Service, Ghana Prisons Service, and Ghana National Fire Service, has not been held for over a decade.
It hit a snag in 2024 despite attempts to relaunch the competition.
"SESSA is completely dead, we shouldn't go there," Bawah told JoySports.
"We tried to revive SESSA last year, the things people took us through we had to back out.
"It's very painful that a dead program we tried to revive, the same people who have caused the death of that program, will come after you."
The SESSA Games offers a platform for athletes to showcase their talent and contribute to the broader development of sports in the country.
