The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has summoned former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, to appear before its Disciplinary Committee following remarks she made in the media concerning the party’s performance in the 2024 general elections.
The move forms part of a broader inquiry into the implications of her statements and their potential impact on the party's public image.
A notice, jointly signed by Patrick Boamah, Secretary to the Disciplinary Committee, and William Yamoah, Director of Finance and Administration, was issued on 24 March 2025.

It requests Adwoa Safo’s appearance at the NPP headquarters in Asylum Down, Accra, on Monday, 7 April 2025, at 11:00 a.m. The hearing will be held in the party’s main conference room.
The notice advised Ms Safo to attend with any supporting documents or witnesses she may wish to present.
She is also permitted to appear with legal counsel, in accordance with the party's internal procedures.
A referral letter from the NPP General Secretary outlining the grounds for the inquiry was enclosed in the notice for her reference.
The NPP, in its communication, underscored its unwavering commitment to transparency, fairness, and adherence to due process.
It encouraged full cooperation with the Committee, noting that the proceedings aim to uphold the integrity of the party and its internal disciplinary standards.
Key party figures, including the National Chairman, General Secretary, and Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee, have all been copied in the correspondence.
