Ghana's U-20 national team, the Black Satellites, has been drawn into Group C alongside Senegal, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the Central African Republic for this month's CAF U-20 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The draw, held on Sunday, April 13, in Cairo, Egypt, sets the stage for a highly competitive tournament that will take place from April 27 to May 18.
The competition, which was initially scheduled to take place in Côte d'Ivoire, was moved to Egypt after the West African nation pulled out.
Desmond Ofei and his squad had had a couple preparations including a trip to Morocco to get themselves ready for the tournament.
The resumed training in Accra and are expected to play a series of friendly matches before heading to Egypt for the competition.
The Black Satellites will have to be at their best from the onset, especially against continental powerhouses like Senegal.
Should they progress from the group stage, a potential clash awaits in the knockout rounds against teams such as host nation Egypt, Morocco, South Africa, or Zambia.
