Vision FC produced a stunning second-half comeback to defeat Asante Kotoko 3-1 on Sunday at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Stadium in Tema New Town.
The Porcupine Warriors took the lead in the 37th minute through Emmanuel Antwi, whose long-range effort crept past the Vision FC goalkeeper to put the visitors ahead.
Despite going behind, Vision FC remained composed and continued to press for an equalizer.
The game took a dramatic turn in the second half following the introduction of Edmund Asante and Frank Abora Duku, who breathed new life into the “Ewoo” Boys.
Edmund Asante leveled the score in the 67th minute with a clinical finish, before Frank Abora Duku delivered the final blow, scoring in the 82nd and 90+3 minutes, to complete a memorable brace and seal a commanding 3-1 win for the home side.
The result secures Vision FC’s survival in their debut Ghana Premier League season. Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko's hopes of challenging for the league title were further dashed, especially after Bibiani GoldStars' emphatic 4-0 win over Accra Lions.
