Presidential Staffer Nana Yaa Jantuah has urged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to refrain from politicising investigations and to allow due process to take its course in the ongoing probe involving former Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) Board Chair, Paul Adom-Otchere.
Speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem morning show, Nana Yaa Jantuah questioned the NPP’s tendency to describe legal inquiries as witch-hunts.
“I don’t know why whenever someone is being interrogated, the NPP tries to tag it as a witch-hunt. I’ve been through that process before. If you are innocent, the process will vindicate you,” she said.
She also raised concerns about Mr Adom-Otchere’s alleged involvement in a revenue assurance contract between GACL and a private firm, which is now under investigation by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).
“Normally, board chairmen are not involved in procurement. So how did his name appear on the contract? Let’s interrogate the matter and take politics out of it,” she added.
“Let’s allow the system to work. If you’re innocent, the process will clear you,” she stressed.
Paul Adom-Otchere was released from OSP custody on 2 August 2025 after meeting bail conditions. He was invited over allegations that a contract was awarded without full board approval during his tenure at GACL.
