Evatex Company Limited, named in a recent controversy surrounding a revenue assurance contract by the Ghana Airport Company Limited (GACL), has responded to recent media reports and public commentary surrounding the company's operations.
In a press statement issued on behalf of the company, legal counsel dismissed suggestions that the company may have secured the contract through unfair means.
It maintained that due process was followed and the deal signed after the GACL secured single-source approval from the Public Procurement Authority (PPA), as required by law.
“At no time did Evatex bypass established protocols. All engagements were conducted via formal channels and with full transparencу.”
The Office of Special Prosecutor (OSP) last week invited, arrested and cautioned the former Board Chairman of the GACL, Paul Adom-Otchere in what the OSP said was in relation to an ongoing corruption and corruption-related investigation into the revenue assurance contract.
Adom-Otchere, who has denied any wrongdoing, has since been granted bail.
