Spanish La Liga side Villarreal have completed the signing of Ghana international Thomas Partey on a two-year contract.
The midfielder joins on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with Arsenal at the end of the 2024/2025 season.
Partey, 32, is currently facing legal proceedings in England. He appeared before the Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, charged with five counts of rape involving two women, as well as one count of sexual assault involving a third woman.
The alleged incidents occurred between 2021 and 2022 during his time at Arsenal. He has been granted conditional bail.
El Villarreal CF y @Thomaspartey22 han alcanzado un acuerdo para que el futbolista ghanés se vincule al conjunto groguet de cara a la presente temporada 2025-26.

Despite the ongoing legal case, Villarreal—who have secured Champions League qualification for next season—are hopeful that Partey's experience, including his role in helping Arsenal reach the semifinals last season, will bolster their squad in Europe’s top competition.
