Dentsu Ghana ’s second edition of the much loved Cook It, Lick It cooking competition thrilled audiences at Amber Gardens on Thursday, 14th August 2025, with a showcase of culinary skills, entertainment, and teamwork.
The event, powered by GB Foods, producers of the popular Gino Jollof Mix, brought together enthusiastic teams, sponsors, media partners, and clients for a lively celebration of food and culture.
Organised by Dentsu Ghana as a mid-year bonding activity, the contest featured five groups, each tasked with preparing a traditional Ghanaian dish alongside a signature Gino Jollof recipe.
The dishes presented were:
- Group 1: Fufu with Palm Nut Soup and Gino Jollof with Pork
- Group 2: Tuo Zaafi and Gino Jollof with Goat
- Group 3: Attiéké with Tilapia and Plantain, plus Gino Jollof with Beef
- Group 4: Waakye with accompaniments, plus Gino Jollof with Chicken
- Group 5: Banku with Okro Stew and Shito Loo, plus Gino Jollof with Fish
After a spirited contest judged by representatives from Joy Prime, Pluzz FM, Channel One, GB Foods, and Amber Gardens, Group 1 emerged winners with their fufu, palm nut soup, and pork-infused jollof. Group 2’s Tuo Zaafi took second place, while Group 4’s Waakye secured third.
The 2025 edition enjoyed strong sponsorship from GB Foods, Betway, Standard Chartered Bank, Telecel, GTP, Club Beer, Beta Malt, and Shandy. Media coverage came from Joy Prime, Channel One, Pluzz FM, ABC News, WatsUp TV, and others.
With its blend of competition, camaraderie, and culinary artistry, Cook It, Lick It 2.0 was more than a cooking contest. It stood out as a vibrant celebration of teamwork and Ghanaian cuisine.
