The Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) has announced the official dates and revised modalities for the 2025 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE), following a series of consultations with the National Teaching Council (NTC) and the Ministry of Education (MoE).
In a statement released by TTAG’s National Secretariat, Level 400 students and candidates due to sit the GTLE, including re-sitters, have been urged to take note of the new schedule and updated examination procedures.
Confirmed GTLE 2025 Schedule
- Level 400 (First-time candidates): Monday, 13th – Wednesday, 15th October 2025
- Resitters: Monday, 27th – Tuesday, 28th October 2025 (tentative)
Examination Fees
- Examination Fee: GH¢ 450.00
- Indexing Fee: GH¢ 50.00
The upcoming GTLE will be conducted under a newly revised format aimed at enhancing efficiency, credibility, and better alignment with modern teacher education standards, according to the statement.

TTAG noted that the NTC will release full guidelines in due course, covering registration, structure, and exam procedures.
As part of the preparation process, the NTC will host a series of Zoom engagement sessions through TTAG’s administrative sectors to provide orientation and answer questions on the new arrangements.
“All affected candidates are advised to take note of these directives, prepare adequately, and follow official updates keenly,” the statement read.
TTAG reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with both the NTC and the Ministry of Education to ensure that the interests of all teacher trainees across the country are protected and promoted.
