Franklin Cudjoe, founding President and CEO of IMANI Africa, has been chosen to lead this year’s Anti-Corruption Day dialogue in Ho.

The event, set for Wednesday, 24th September, is one of several scheduled activities under the 2025 Asogli Te Za (Yam Festival), the annual cultural and harvest celebration of the Asogli State.

The chiefs and people of Asogli have dubbed the day “Anti-Corruption Day” and it is on the theme "Together for peace, unity and development through integrity and fairness".

In previous years, individuals such as the former Auditor-General, Mr Daniel Domelevo, investigative journalist, Manasa Azure, and reggae artiste and media personality, Blakk Rasta, have spoken at this event.

This year’s selection of Franklin Cudjoe is seen as part of the Asogli state’s continuing effort to discourage corrupt practices and deepen public awareness about accountability in the country.

According to the Asogli festival programme, Anti-Corruption Day is one among many events designed to combine celebration with civic and developmental discourse. Others include a Women’s Day celebration, youth empowerment initiatives, health walks and screenings, an Asogli Marathon, and a ceremonial hailing of new yams (Teyuyru).

The 2025 Yam Festival is being observed under the theme: “Together in honesty and purpose, we build a just, peaceful and prosperous nation.”
