An unidentified man lost his life around midday on Friday when a truck ran over him at Alajo junction in Accra.
The truck with registration number GS 4295-21 ran over the man with the left rear tyres.
It was not clear how the accident occurred, but there were suggestions that the man was riding a motorcycle and was knocked down when he tried to maneuver and overtake the truck.
He got trapped under the truck and was dragged on the road before the truck came to a stop.
The accident resulted in a traffic congestion from the Abeka junction traffic light through the frontage of the Police Training Academy at Tesano towards the Alajo junction traffic light.
Police officers responded to the distress call to assess the incident and to convey the body to the morgue.
At the time, Graphic Online got to the scene around 12:50 pm on Friday, September 26, 2025, the body was still under the truck.
