Widows Connect Africa is set to organise the Bono Region edition of the 2025 Heroes of the Region Conference on Saturday, October 4, at the Sunyani Technical University.
The event, expected to begin at 5:30 pm, is themed “Heroes of the Region Conference” and will celebrate outstanding individuals and institutions whose contributions continue to shape the Bono Region.
A total of 39 award categories will be recognised, including Electrical Contractor of the Year, Private Educational Institution of the Year, DJ of the Year, Male and Female Entrepreneur of the Year, Youth Leader of the Year, Media Personality of the Year, Herbal Brand of the Year, Nurse of the Year, Presiding Member of the Year, Assembly Member of the Year, Administrator of the Year, Teacher/Tutor of the Year, HR of the Year, MC of the Year, Graphic Designer of the Year, and Blogger of the Year.
Other categories include MMDCE of the Year, Makeup Artist of the Year, Hair Stylist of the Year, Décor Stylist of the Year, Male and Female Fire Officer of the Year, Land Surveyor of the Year, Marketer of the Year, Photographer/Videographer of the Year, Businessman of the Year, Midwife of the Year, Police Officer of the Year, Tailor of the Year (Male Tailor of the Year and Female Tailor of the Year), Corporate Officer of the Year, Accountant of the Year, Doctor of the Year, Humanitarian Activist of the Year, Anesthetist of the Year, and Health Promotion Officer of the Year.
Several high-profile personalities are expected to grace the occasion, with the Paramount Chief of the Wenchi Traditional Area, Ampem Osagyefo Anye Amoamphong Tabrako III, serving as the special guest of honour.
Other distinguished speakers include Nana Yaa Adanse, Assistant Chief Fire Officer Atta Pokua (Founder & CEO of Widows Connect Africa), Prince Gyasi Berchie Antwi, and Dr Nii Patrick.
Guests of honour, Nana Adoma Afrakoma II and Nana Afia Amponsah Munumkum, will also be present, adding to the prestige of the event.
Backed by prominent partners, the Heroes 25 Region Conference promises not only to honour the region’s heroes but also to inspire future generations with stories of dedication, innovation, and resilience.
