The Western Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Francis Ndede Siah, has declared the region’s unflinching support for former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to be elected as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2028 elections.
Welcoming Dr. Bawumia to the region at the start of his campaign tour in Amenfi, the Regional Chairman said the former Vice President is poised for victory, given the widespread support he enjoys across the country. He added that the Western Region would be an integral part of that success.
“On behalf of my people, I warmly welcome you and want to state that the Western Region is going to be part of the winning team. We want to uplift Dr. Bawumia and give him a resounding victory,” Mr. Siah said.
Commending Dr. Bawumia for his values and conduct throughout the campaign, the Regional Chairman praised his focus on issue-based campaigning and his refusal to be distracted by propaganda or personal attacks.
“It is unfortunate that lies and propaganda have taken centre stage in this campaign against one man,” he noted. “But the good thing is that he is not perturbed and has concentrated on his message, without responding to them. This has encouraged us to remain focused and to campaign vigorously for his victory.”
“We appreciate this and want to urge you to continue to stay focused,” he added.
Dr. Bawumia concluded his tour of the Western Region in Sekondi, after visiting all constituencies. He was warmly received by delegates and secured widespread endorsements and support across the region.
