Aduana FC returned to the top of the league table after putting away Berekum Chelsea 3–1 in the Ghana Premier League Bono derby on Sunday.
The hosts wasted no time asserting themselves, with Samuel Ansah smashing in the opener inside the first ten minutes at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park.
Aduana kept pushing after the break, and their efforts paid off when Hensen Amponsah added a second.
Seidu Abubakar pulled one back to give the visitors a glimmer of hope.
However, any chance of a late turnaround faded when Emmanuel Marfo finished off a flowing move to secure Aduana’s third.
The result pushes Aduana to 23 points, taking them above Medeama SC who dropped points on Saturday against Bechem United.
The win also is Aduana’s third consecutive triumph in their quest to win the title.
Up next for the Dormaa-based club is against Bibiani GoldStars on November 30.
Meanwhile, Chelsea, who sit 14th, host Samartex FC on the aforementioned date.
