The 2025 edition of Tidal Rave concluded at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra this past weekend, drawing thousands of festivalgoers across two days.
A highlight was the Spark Market, an Absa Bank Ghana initiative which allowed about forty young entrepreneurs to showcase and sell their products using digital payments.
Organised in partnership with Echo House, the Spark Market formed part of Absa’s broader effort to support youth-led businesses with practical digital tools.
Vendors used Spark by Absa, the bank’s digital wallet, to facilitate cashless transactions at their stands.
The Spark by Absa app was also the exclusive channel for purchasing the Red Ticket early-bird offer, which provided discounted entry to the festival.
Charles Addo, Retail Banking Director at Absa Bank Ghana, said, “Our goal with the Spark by Absa Market was to support young entrepreneurs. With our Spark by Absa Ghana digital account, we provided festivalgoers with a seamless digital experience.

"The feedback from vendors and attendees has been encouraging, and we see this as a step forward for digital commerce in Ghana.”
The Spark Zone, a dedicated area for digital entertainment experiences, saw steady footfall, according to event staff.
Attendees cited features such as cashless payment demos, live music, and the 'Spark Moment', an interactive experience highlighting the benefits of the Spark by Absa app, as highlights.
Tidal Rave 2025 marked another year of Absa Bank’s partnership with the festival, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to digital financial inclusion and youth entrepreneurship.
