Speaking in an interview with Becky on JoyNews, the musician said he cannot separate his identity from his country and strives to maintain high standards in all his work.
“We have come this far to represent Ghana. I cannot detach Ghana from my career—ever. Whatever I do, I have Ghana at the back of my mind first.”
Stonebwoy explained that he carefully considers his productions to meet global standards, showcasing Ghanaian creativity, style, and artistry.
“When I put together my production, I make sure our own is competing on global standards. Ghana must be able to sell and be represented in a good light.”
The artiste also stressed that music must carry meaning and consciousness, not just entertainment value. Stonebwoy said themes such as friendship, vulnerability, unity, and positivity are deliberately highlighted to inspire fans and strengthen social bonds.
“Music must have consciousness. It must have a message, protecting friendship, harnessing human relationships and not wishing evil for the next person. Just being positive.”
“It talks about protecting friendship, harnessing human relationships… Just being positive. That is it.”.
Through his work, Stonebwoy hopes to continue elevating Ghanaian music and culture while spreading messages that resonate with fans locally and internationally.
