One person has been confirmed dead and three others injured following a road traffic accident at Owura Twum, off the Kibi–Suhum Road, in the Eastern Region.
The accident occurred on Monday, January 12, 2026, and involved an Opel Vectra saloon car with registration number GT 8521-N.
Eyewitnesses at the scene said the accident was caused by a rear tyre burst, which caused the vehicle to somersault and land upside down in nearby bushes.

A total of four casualties were recorded, comprising one male and three females, with one female confirmed dead.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), personnel from the Suhum Municipal Fire Station were alerted to the incident at about 9:43 a.m. A seven-member rescue team, led by Assistant Station Officer Kissiedu, arrived at the scene shortly after.

Firefighters retrieved the body of one trapped victim from the vehicle, while three other occupants who sustained varying degrees of injuries were assisted and transported to the Kibi Government Hospital for medical care.
The body of the deceased was handed over to the police for preservation and further investigations. The vehicle sustained partial damage.

Fire personnel later cleared the accident scene and restored traffic flow before leaving the area.
