The donation was made to the service on February 5, 2026.

According to Nana Susubiribi I, the donation is a gesture of appreciation for the leadership and reform agenda of the Director-General of Prisons, Patience Baffoe-Bonnie (Esq).
He noted that the contribution is intended to complement ongoing efforts to transform the Ghana Prisons Service, particularly by improving mobility and ensuring the rapid transportation of officers in the discharge of their duties.

The Director-General of Prisons, Mrs. Patience Baffoe-Bonnie (Esq), expressed gratitude to Aboboyaa Company Limited for the timely support, describing the donation as a meaningful contribution to the Service’s operations.
She used the occasion to call on other corporate bodies and stakeholders to support the Ghana Prisons Service in its reform and sustainability efforts.

Mrs. Baffoe-Bonnie also encouraged the public to contribute to the Prison Improvement and Sustainability Pesewa Fund (PISPES) as well as to support other development projects being undertaken by the Service.
The donation, she noted, underscores the importance of public-private partnerships in strengthening institutions critical to national security and rehabilitation.
