Abdul Karim Zito has officially stepped down as Head Coach of Asante Kotoko following the club’s exit from the MTN FA Cup at the Round of 16 stage against Aduana FC.
The Porcupine Warriors have endured a difficult run of form in recent weeks, recording just one win in their last five matches.
Zito departs with Kotoko sitting fifth on the Ghana Premier League table, eight points adrift of leaders Medeama SC.
The club confirmed his resignation in a statement released via its official social media channels.
“Abdul Karim Zito Kabutey has resigned from his role as Head Coach of Asante Kotoko Sporting Club with immediate effect. Management has accepted the resignation, expressed its appreciation to the coach for his services and wished him the best in his future endeavours,” the statement read.
