The Central East Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects, with others still at large, following an incident of vandalism at the Awutu Oshimpo Chief’s palace.
The suspects allegedly stole eight pieces of the chief’s clothing, removed CCTV cameras, and took several of the chief's stools.

The attack occurred when a group believed to be land guards stormed the palace, fired multiple live rounds, and forcibly removed the main door before ransacking the premises.
The Chief of Awutu Oshimpo, Nai Okogyeaman Mensah, told Adom News that his personal clothing and the palace’s main door were among the items stolen.
He commended the Central East Regional Police Command for their swift response. He urged the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to assist in apprehending the remaining suspects so they can face justice.
