Former Black Queens head coach Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo believes Milot Pokuaa has what it takes to return to the national team fold.
The Hasaacas Ladies forward has not played for the national team since 2021 when she suffered a brutal knee injury, which kept her out of action for four years.
Milot, who has been firing on all cylinders for Hasaacas in recent games across all competitions, is being backed by the coach who handed her a first call-up to the Black Queens squad to make a return.
"She's naturally a very good player, and with a little push and polish, I don't think Milot will not be able to play the Black Queens again, irrespective of what the surgeries she's gone through," Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo told SuperSport.
"She had the injury, she had to go through surgeries, so it impeded her progress in terms of the national teams. She played for the U17s and U20s so the transition was going well until she had the injury. It is my prayer that God should see her through to get over this impediment that came her way.
"Now she's gotten another chance to continue with her career, and it's my prayer she gets called up to the national team. That would be a morale booster for her to exhibit what she has as a football player."
Milot scored twice for the Takoradi-based side as they booked their place in the final of the Women's FA Cup while she also scored the winner in the game against Army Ladies in the league, which sent her side to the top of the league table.
