The Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF) has entered into a strategic partnership with MDS-Lancet Laboratories Ghana Limited and Quest Medical Imaging to improve access to quality diagnostic healthcare services across the country.

The agreement seeks to combine GMTF’s mandate of supporting the prevention and treatment of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) with the expertise of MDS-Lancet Laboratories Ghana Limited and Quest Medical Imaging in delivering advanced medical diagnostic services.

The partnership is expected to enhance access to timely, accurate and reliable diagnostic testing, supporting early detection of diseases and improving treatment outcomes for patients nationwide.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Administrator of the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, described the collaboration as a significant milestone in the Trust Fund’s efforts to establish partnerships that strengthen healthcare delivery.

“Today marks a significant milestone as the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, MDS Lancet Laboratories Ghana Limited and Quest Medical Imaging formally establish a partnership that reflects our shared commitment to improving access to quality healthcare for the people of Ghana.

Accurate and timely diagnostics are the cornerstone of effective treatment, and this collaboration represents an important investment in the health and wellbeing of Ghanaians,” she said.

She expressed appreciation to the leadership of both organisations for their confidence in the partnership and reaffirmed GMTF’s commitment to working with key stakeholders to address the growing burden of non-communicable diseases.

The Chief Executive Officer of MDS-Lancet Laboratories Ghana Limited, Dr Paul Sekyere-Nyantakyi, welcomed the partnership, noting that it aligns with the organisation’s objective of providing accessible and high-quality diagnostic services to support improved patient care.

According to the partners, the collaboration will help strengthen Ghana’s healthcare system through innovation, technical expertise and coordinated efforts, while improving access to diagnostic services and supporting better clinical decision-making, particularly for patients managing chronic conditions.

The agreement also reflects a shared commitment to building a long-term relationship anchored on trust, excellence and a common goal of improving healthcare outcomes.

The Ghana Medical Trust Fund, MDS-Lancet Laboratories Ghana Limited and Quest Medical Imaging expressed confidence that the partnership will make a lasting contribution towards achieving more equitable and sustainable healthcare delivery in Ghana.
