Actor Prince David Osei has publicly endorsed the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the upcoming general elections, urging Ghanaians to vote for the party as a vote for prosperity and progress.
Speaking at the NPP manifesto launch in Takoradi on Sunday, Mr Osei expressed strong confidence in the party’s leadership, particularly praising the accomplishments of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
He emphasized that the NPP is equipped with the bold solutions necessary to project Ghana positively and help the country fully realize its potential.
"A vote for the NPP is a vote for posterity. I understand that times are tough, but it’s a global challenge," Mr. Osei remarked, pointing out that economic difficulties are being experienced worldwide, including in the UK, the US, Canada, and neighbouring Nigeria.
He warned against choosing any other party, stating that it could lead Ghana into disaster. "The alternative is not the solution.

The alternative will send us into an abyss of disaster," he cautioned, asserting that the NPP is the only party capable of advancing the country.
Mr Osei further reminded Ghanaians of the reliefs provided by the NPP government during the COVID-19 pandemic, such as free electricity and water, as well as financial support for small businesses.
He highlighted the advancements in digitalisation under the NPP, such as the implementation of the digital property address system and the Ghana Card, urging voters to consider these achievements when casting their ballots.
"Vote for progress. Vote Bawumia. Vote Matthew Opoku Prempeh as the incoming president," Mr. Osei urged, expressing his belief that Dr. Bawumia's leadership would be a continuation of the progress initiated by the current government.
