The Aburi Girls Old Girls' Association (AOGA) has extended heartfelt congratulations to Vice President-elect Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang on her historic election as Ghana's first female Vice President.
In a statement, AOGA described Opoku-Agyemang's achievement as a powerful symbol of progress, offering inspiration to women and girls both in Ghana and beyond.
“Mrs Opoku-Agyemang, being a member of an all-girls senior high school alumni association, we cannot overstate the profound significance of your remarkable achievement on our students and alumni,” the association remarked.
In a statement, the group said her success has encouraged women of all ages, proving that their dreams are valid and achievable.
The association further highlighted that her election brings hope for greater advocacy and action on issues that disproportionately affect women and children, including access to education, healthcare, and protection against gender-based violence.
“We are confident that under your stewardship, these critical areas will see renewed focus and transformative progress,” AOGA added.
The association expressed hope that her tenure as Vice President will be characterized by wisdom, compassion, and a lasting legacy that uplifts and empowers women, as well as all citizens of Ghana.
