President Akufo-Addo has arrived at the memorial service for the former first vice-chairperson of the New Patriotic Party, Ama Busia.
The service, which is being held at Ablemkpe in Accra, is led by the Methodist church.
Akufo-Addo arrived at the venue with his wife, Rebecca Akufo-Addo.
Other notable members of the NPP present are the Vice President and NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and his wife, Samira Bawumia, the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare and bigwigs of the ruling party.
The sister of the late Kofi Abrefa Busia, who served as Ghana’s Prime Minister in the Second Republic, Ama Busia passed away on Tuesday 12 December 2023 after a short illness.
