After going hard on his party, the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Obuasi West MP and former Deputy Finance Minister, Kwaku Kwarteng, has attempted an explanation on the Super Morning Show on Joy FM.
Mr Kwarteng in a statement titled "To break the eight, we must first break the norm", called on the incumbent NPP to address some critical issues if it intends to break the eight-year election cycle.
Among other things, he passed a damning judgement on Ghana's economy saying it has been run like a Ponzi scheme by successive governments.
Many have commended the MP for being bold enough to take on his party for its flaws.
Listen to what the MP had to say about his statement which he claimed was solely an internal party document but found its way into the public domain.
