The Deputy National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Osman Ayariga, has challenged Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to debate the unemployed youth of Ghana before considering a debate with John Dramani Mahama.
Mr Ayariga says the struggling youth are always prepared for such a debate with Dr. Bawumia.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, July 16, Ayariga insisted that Dr. Bawumia, New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential falgbearer, should prioritise helping his government to create jobs for the youth instead of seeking political debates.
He criticised the Akufo-Addo-led government, describing it as indifferent to the plight of the Ghanaian people.
He said "1.9 million Youth have no Jobs yet this wicked Government claimed they have created over 3 million jobs! Where are the jobs. Come and debate them, sir"
The NPP flagbearer has challenged his counterpart of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, to a debate on the economy ahead of this year's election.
However, the NDC believes such a debate is unnecessary, arguing that the real issues are evident in the harsh economic conditions that Ghanaians are currently experiencing.
