Dr. Bryan Acheampong, flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has congratulated the NPP-USA New York Chapter, one of the oldest diaspora branches of the Party, on its 33rd anniversary.
He described the milestone as a testament to the enduring patriotism and commitment of the Party’s grassroots abroad.
In a goodwill message he penned for the anniversary celebration themed “33 Years of Devoted Service, Patriotism and Commitment: Reigniting the Base, Rebuilding with Our Core Values in Unity”, Dr. Acheampong praised the chapter for its decades of sacrifice in strengthening the Party’s foundations.
“Your 33 years of devoted service stand as proof that the NPP is more than a political organisation – it is a family bound by values, patriotism, and commitment to Ghana’s progress,” Dr. Acheampong wrote.
Highlighting his vision for the future of the Party, in a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra, Dr. Acheampong said his campaign was rooted in rebuilding the NPP and uniting its ranks.
“I am offering myself to lead because I believe the NPP must rebuild from within, reigniting the base and restoring confidence. Unity is not just a theme; it is the foundation for victory in 2028 and beyond,” he noted.
Dr. Acheampong pointed to his record as a dedicated public servant, entrepreneur, and policymaker who had consistently advanced initiatives in food security, youth development, infrastructure, safety, and financial restoration and argued that his leadership offered the Party the opportunity to blend experience with fresh vision, making the NPP stronger, more inclusive, and better prepared to secure Ghana’s future.
He urged members in the diaspora to continue playing their crucial role in shaping the Party’s fortunes.
“The diaspora has always been the lifeblood of our Party, and your sacrifices – whether financial, logistical, or moral – have helped sustain us.
“Together, we must channel this strength into reigniting our base and rebuilding the NPP into the unified force that our nation needs,” Dr. Acheampong added.
Dr. Acheampong tied his vision to the anniversary theme: “This anniversary is not just about celebrating the past; it is a charge for the future. Let us commit ourselves to rebuilding with our core values in unity, for when we are united, no obstacle is too great for the NPP.”
