Abeku Jackson and Samuel Yaw Addo failed to progress to the next phase of the ongoing 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham on Monday, August 1.
With a disappointing performance in the first week of the games, Team Ghana is hoping to end the competition on a high level but the start of the second week did not go as planned.
Here is a wrap of Ghana's performance from Day 5.
In swimming, Abeku Jackson finished 6th in the 100m butterfly semis and missed out on a place in the final.

The boxing event also saw Yaw Addo suffer a 2-3 defeat at the hands of Northern Ireland's Clepson Antonio Dos Santos as he missed out on a quarterfinal berth.

Ghana's cyclist Emmanuel Sackey competed in the men's 1000m time trial but failed to win a medal, placing 20th with a time of 1:20.526.

Joseph Commey advanced to the quarterfinals of the featherweight division after beating Vanuatu's Allan Oaike.

The Games continue until August 8.
