Bishop Emmanuel Ackun of the Victory Bible Church has charged staff of The Multimedia Group to stay on the path of fostering peace in their reportage of national discourse.
He said while at it, they should ensure that duty bearers are held accountable.
According to him, the company has over the years set the pace in the media landscape and will be very pivotal as another political year beckons.

“This country is in a very challenging time and moving towards 2024, we need media houses which are mature, experienced who have also gone through some thick and thin and come out better," he said on Friday.

He continued that times like these need “balanced media houses like Multimedia to guide and inform this nation to sustain the peace we are enjoying.”

The preacher was speaking during The Multimedia Group’s 2023 Kick-off Prayer and Thanksgiving Praise Feast held at the Victory Bible Church, Prophetic Sanctuary in Kokomlemle.

Addressing the gathering, he reiterated the need for a fearless and impartial approach to information dissemination which has been the hallmark of the media company.
He stressed that this trait is even more important as the 2024 general election approaches.

For him, this makes it crucial for The Multimedia Group to do its part in sustaining its professionalism to promote free speech and keep the populace informed.

Bishop Ackun also lauded The Multimedia Group for annually organising such an event while highlighting its positive effect on the company’s activities.

"Besides hard work, the attitude of thanksgiving and praise has kept you at the top. And there is no media house like Multimedia in my estimation," he added.
