An organization calling itself, Pro-NPP Medical Groups has commended Presidential Advisor on Health for his role in the party’s re-election bid during the campaign towards the just-ended 2020 campaign.

According to the group, Dr Anthony Nsiah-Asare, in various ways demonstrated competence in pushing the agenda for progress in the administration of the sector.

The affiliates comprise health groups in the NPP namely; NPP Medical Team, Diplomatic Patriots Health Team, Patients First, NPP Global Medical Team, Health Citizens Movement, Healthy Campaigners, M4C Medical Team, P4C Medical Team, Patriotic Alliance Movement, Patriotic Health Team, Patriotic Health Workers, PPG Medical Team, StandOut Care and Total Vision.

In a press release, the groups touted his exploits in streamlining activities in areas such as constituency outreach programmes among others as pivotal towards consolidating quality healthcare.

“Aside steering all affairs of the medical outreaches, he supported the following constituencies with bales of clothing: Tepa, Ahafo Ano North, Atwima Kwanwoma, Ahafo Ano South East, Ahafo Ano South West, Navrongo Central, Bongo, Bolga East, Bosome Freho, Sekyere Afram Plains, Offinso North, Shai Osudoku, Pru West,” the group said.

They further indicated that “To promote easy access to communities, he provided constituencies like Atwima Kwanwoma, Ahafo Ano North, Ahafo Ano South East,Ahafo Ano South West, Mfantseman, Pru West with motorbikes.”

On the back of these, the group believes Dr Anthony Nsiah-Asare has stamped his authority as a colossus of health management in the country and is committed to furthering those efforts as “We have reached the level in health sector where we have to ensure holistic healthcare delivery from the basic health level CHPS to the Tertiary level in health, within the tenets of prevention, education, promotion, curative, rehabilitative and palliative care, with special attention to mental health and health promotion.”

Dr Nsiah-Asare has been one of the forerunners in government’s healthcare human resource pool spearheading the fight against the novel coronavirus pandemic.

PRO-NPP MEDICAL GROUPS SHOW APPRECIATION TO DR ANTHONY NSIAH-ASARE

We, the health groups in our great New Patriotic Party, wish to show much appreciation to the NPP Medical Committee members, especially the Chairman and Presidential Advisor on Health, Dr Anthony Nsiah-Asare.

Under his leadership, 14 medical groups with 97 regional branches, conducted free health screening in 323 communities. The medical groups screened 168,492 people in 188 constituencies.

His contribution during the 2020 campaign is indeed remarkable. Aside steering all affairs of the medical outreaches, he supported the following constituencies with bales of clothing: Tepa, Ahafo Ano North, Atwima Kwanwoma, Ahafo Ano South East, Ahafo Ano South West, Navrongo Central, Bongo, Bolga East,

Bosome Freho, Sekyere Afram Plains, Offinso North, Shai Osudoku, Pru West.

To promote easy access to communities, he provided constituencies like Atwima Kwanwoma, Ahafo Ano North, Ahafo Ano South East,Ahafo Ano South West, Mfantseman, Pru West with motorbikes. Party branded shirts were also donated to support some constituencies. Having worked with closely with Dr Anthony Nsiah-Asare, he stamped his authority as a colossus of health management.

He is truly  a great asset to our health sector.

H.E President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo  is leaving huge footprints in the health sector.

The past years has seen us chalking great success on our roadmap to achieving quality universal health coverage. To further achieve this, Ghana needs an experienced, strategic and visionary leader with much expertise at all levels of health care to be placed at the Ministry of Health to steer the affairs.

The current state of the Ministry will have to leverage on our existing health systems. Arm in arm with a  strengthened National Health Insurance Scheme and judicious use of of technology , the giant strides we envisage  can be achieved. This calls for a leader  who appreciates the current state of our health system  and a mastery in health management.

We have reached the level in health sector where we have to ensure holistic healthcare delivery from the basic health level CHPS to the Tertiary level in health, within the tenets of prevention, education, promotion, curative, rehabilitative and palliative care, with special attention to mental health and health promotion.

With the outbreaks of global epidemics and pandemics, emphasis should be on who has the experience and strategy to help manage such crises (predict, early detect, prevent, manage and contain emerging pandemics).

We the medical groups (comprising of all categories of health professionals) in our great party are appealing to our listening President, H. E. Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo- Addo, to bless us with the visionary Dr Anthony Nsiah-Asare, as the Minister of Health, to position Ghana on the global scale in health, as he has so much up his sleeves to offer this nation.

Health management and leadership play critical roles in achieving quality Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and Primary Health Care (PHC), and the man for this is Dr Anthony Nsiah-Asare. He has the track record!

His commitment to steering all the activities of the health teams in the 2020 campaign has cemented the new normal campaign strategy “Health Campaigning”.  We are already lacing our boots for 2024. We, the health teams,  have vowed to continuously organise our various health screening and free medical care programs for the good people of Ghana. Who else can help sustain that cause, but the one who effortlessly steered us for 2020?

HE Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo- Addo, May you hear our cries and and consider Dr Anthony Nsiah-Asare as the next Minister of Health,  to help solidify and consolidate our gains as far as the health of the good people of Ghana is concern.
