Former Hearts of Oak forward Kwadwo Obeng Junior is close to joining Heart of Lions on a free transfer.
Obeng had been unattached since leaving Hearts in January 2024 and missed the entire second round of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.
He is nearing a return, with sources indicating that he has signed a two-year contract with the Kpando-based side.
The striker is expected to be officially announced in the coming days before joining his new teammates for training ahead of the upcoming season.
Obeng’s imminent arrival aims to boost the attacking firepower of Heart of Lions, who are keen to avoid another relegation battle after narrowly escaping the drop zone on the final day of last season.
The 25-year-old previously won the 2020/21 Premier League and two FA Cup titles with Hearts of Oak.
