Fifa President, Gianni Infantino has pledged his support to Kurt Okraku, the newly elected president of the Ghana Football Association.
In a letter congratulating Mr. Okraku, the leader of the world football governing body noted that Okraku’s experience in the game would help to develop football in Ghana.
Mr. Infantino also promised to invite the new GFA boss to the Fifa headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland at a convenient date.
Mr. Okraku won the vacant GFA presidency after three rounds of voting last Friday.
He defeated former Vice President of the FA, George Afriyie and four others.
The position became vacant in 2018 after the holder, Kwesi Nyantakyi resigned amid corruption allegations.
Fifa suspended him for life reviewing evidence submitted by undercover journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
