The Central Regional Headquarters Sub-Station responded to an accident on the Cape Coast – Accra highway near Childcare School junction in the early hours of Sunday, July 21, 2024.
The accident involved a Toyota Hiace with registration number GB 2053-22, which was travelling from Takoradi to Accra.
The vehicle veered off the road and crashed into the nearby bushes leaving a total of 15 people injured.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) rescue team arrived promptly and successfully rescued the victims from the vehicle.

The injured were transferred to the National Ambulance Service, who transported them to Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for urgent medical treatment.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident, as the TOYOTA HIACE sustained partial damage during the incident.
