The Minister of Interior, Muntaka Mohammed, has announced that the government has a comprehensive plan to review and reform Ghana’s national security architecture.
He stated that these reforms aim to enhance professionalism and improve the efficiency of the country’s security agencies.
Speaking during a visit to the Police Headquarters on Tuesday, 18th February, the Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening national security.
He emphasised that the planned reforms would equip all security agencies with the necessary resources to effectively carry out their duties.
His visit included discussions with the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare, on enhancing law enforcement capabilities.
“The government has a comprehensive plan to review the entire national security architecture and comprehensively implement reforms to ensure professionalism,” Muntaka Mohammed stated.
He further highlighted the government’s focus on modernising security institutions to safeguard the wellbeing of all Ghanaians.
