Ghana Premier League returnees Bofoakwa Tano continued their unbeaten start to the 2023/24 season following their win over Real Tamale United on Friday.
The Sunyani-based side recorded a 2-1 win over the Tamale-based side on Friday afternoon to claim their first three points of the season.
Playing at the Sunyani Coronation Park, Bofoakwa took the lead in the 14th minute of the game through Saaka Dauda, who scored the club's first goal of the season following their promotion.
The Hunters took the 1-0 lead into the break and looked the most threatening team for the majority of the first half.
However, RTU restored parity after recess with Mohammed Hardi Abdulai getting on the scoresheet to make it 1-1.
The game seemed to be heading to a stalemate until the home side were awarded a penalty in the 88th minute which was well-dispatched by Steven Owusu to restore Boafoakwa's lead.
The newly-promoted side now have four points from their opening two games after playing out a goalless draw with Berekum Chelsea on the opening weekend of the league.
