Heart of Lions are the new leaders of the Ghana Premier League after week 13 following their 1-0 victory over FC Samartex at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena in Samreboi.
Nana Kwame Oppong netted with a fine finish in the second minute which proved decisive to hand the visitors all three points.
Goalkeeper Lawrence Osei had to make a couple of saves and rely on the woodwork to keep the lead intact.
The victory marks Lions' fifth in their last six matches which elevates them to the summit with 24 points.
Meanwhile, it was Samartex's second successive home defeat - for the first time since 2023 - and three losses on the bounce.
The defending champions now sit 10th with 17 points.
Samartex hope to arrest their slump in form against Bechem United in their next outing while Lions seek to continue their unbeaten run against Holy Stars.
