Nsoatreman FC salvaged a late equalizer in a 2-2 draw against Bechem United in the Bono regional derby on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at the Nana Amoah Kronmansah II Park in Nsuatre.
The Nsoatre-based side started the game strongly, with striker Mohammed Abdul Rahaman putting them ahead via a penalty in the 12th minute.
The home side continued to push for a second goal, but the resilient Bechem United defence ensured the scoreline remained 1-0 at halftime.
Bechem United began the second half much better, with Emmanuel Abban levelling the score just five minutes in, marking his second goal of the season.
Bechem then took the lead in the 57th minute through an own goal, as defender Emmanuel Ankrah mistakenly deflected the ball into his own net.
Nsoatreman turned things around when substitute Collins Kudjoe scored in the 84th minute to snatch a point for his side in the derby.
The result leaves Nsoatreman ninth on the table with 11 points, while Bechem United is in 10th, also with 11 points.
