Aduana FC staged a late comeback to beat Aduana FC staged a late comeback to beat Karela United 2-1 at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park on Sunday in a Ghana Premier League encounter.
Karela United went in front in the 27th minute when Aduana defender Salim Uzair Baafada turned the ball into his own net.
Aduana responded with increased pressure and were rewarded four minutes later, as captain Alex Boakye calmly converted from the penalty spot to level the score.
Both sides created chances in an evenly contested match, with Karela remaining disciplined at the back while Aduana pushed forward in search of a winner
. As the game looked set to end in a draw, substitute Charles Gyamfi Kamara struck in stoppage time to seal all three points for the hosts.
The win gives Aduana FC a timely boost as the second round of the season begins.
They’ll face Nations Fc next while Karela United will face Samartex.
