Asante Kotoko forward, Kwame Opoku, has lauded teammate Albert Amoah as one of the players who has what it takes to succeed at the top level.
Opoku, who recently returned to the club and was unveiled before the win over Hearts of Oak over the weekend, believes Amoah is capable of carrying Kotoko to a new level.
Amoah scored the only goal of the game as the Porcupine Warriors claimed the bragging rights against their arch-rivals, pouncing a mistake between Kelvin Osei Asibey and Benjamin Asare.
Speaking in his first interview with the club's media team, Opoku was full of praise for the Black Galaxies attacker.
"So far, Albert Amoah has impressed me because he’s the one who has been scoring goals to get the team the results. They are all doing well but Albert is my choice because he’s the one who gets the team the results with his goals," he said.
"Albert has all the qualities to be at the top level. If you look at his runs, his composure in front of goal and his goal-scoring ability, you can tell he’s a talent to watch and I’m not surprised he’s the one leading the team right now. He has a lot to offer this club."
Amoah has scored seven goals in 12 games for the Porcupine Warriors this season and his latest against Hearts moves Prosper Narteh Ogum's side to sixth on the league table.
