The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has promoted two police officers from the Tema Regional Police Command and awarded letters of commendation to five others in recognition of their dedication and professionalism in the line of duty.
The honours, announced in a Facebook post shared by the Ghana Police Service, were conferred on the officers whose conduct, discipline and commitment to duty were considered exemplary.

According to the Service, the promotions were granted to reward outstanding performance and operational excellence, while the commendation letters acknowledged personnel whose actions and work ethic merited special recognition.
The two officers were elevated to their next ranks following careful assessment of their service records, reflecting the Police Administration’s commitment to merit-based advancement.

The five officers who received commendation letters were recognised for their professionalism, diligence and positive contribution to policing activities within the Tema Region.
The exercise forms part of broader efforts by the Ghana Police Service to motivate its personnel, strengthen morale and promote a culture of professionalism across all commands.

By recognising and rewarding excellence, the Service aims to encourage officers to uphold high standards of integrity, discipline and effective service delivery.
The Police Administration reaffirmed its commitment to acknowledging merit at all levels of the Service and fostering a work environment that values dedication and accountability.

It also reiterated its resolve to support officers who demonstrate commitment to safeguarding lives and property, as well as maintaining peace and security across the country.
