Minister for Youths and Sports, Mustapha Ussif says he is impressed with the progress of work so far at the Youth Resource Centre in Ho.
He noted that the government is investing heavily to provide world-class facilities for the African games.
"I am excited about the work done so far as the ministry has put in so much effort with other institutions to make sure that the venue is well prepared and ready for the Independence Day celebration."
Mr Ussif said that the other Youth Resource Centres are also being worked on to make sure that the youth have something to do and also have fun as they play games.

According to him, President Akufo-Addo has invested heavily in sports infrastructure development due to the love he has for the sports and the development and progress of the youths of the country.
"Government is renovating the Accra Sports Stadium, Kumasi, Cape Coast, and many others and so anyone who says Government is not doing anything on sports development is not fair to the government," Mr Ussif said.
He commended the CEO of the National Youth Authority, Pius Enam Hadzide for his hard work toward achieving success with the projects.
He noted that government is also renovating some selected sports stadiums in the country which shows that government is committed to making sure that sports and youth development are well taken care of.
On his part, the CEO of the National Youth Authority noted that he is grateful that Volta Region has been chosen for the Independence Day and that he will make sure that the facility is ready to be used for its purpose in March.

Mr Hadzide commended the contractor, Wekaldo Limited led by Torgbui Gbewoza for the good work done so far.
The Contractor, Torgbui Gbeworza noted that he was excited that his project was chosen for the national event and that he has attached so much love and passion to the work in order to have it completed on time schedule.
Torgbui Gbeworza noted that he will make sure that no stone is left unturned for the work to be done for the development of the region.
