The prime suspect in the murder of the late Abuakwa North MP, Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu, has been found not guilty.
This 4-3 decision by a seven-member jury was delivered on Wednesday, December 4.
The split decision forced the presiding judge, to discharge the jury in accordance with Section 285(4) of the Criminal and Other Offenses (Procedure) Act, 1960 (Act 30).
On the back of this, the court concluded that the verdict was insufficient for further action.
Daniel Asiedu also known as Sexy Don Don had been slapped with charges of robbery and killing of the late MP.
Despite the jury’s decision, the suspect remains in custody.
