Traditional rulers in Krachi East, in the Oti Region, have praised the Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for setting a high standard of decent campaigning for the 2024 Presidential Election.
Welcoming Dr. Bawumia to Krachi East on Saturday morning, as the NPP Presidential candidate commenced his tour of the Oti Region, the chiefs said they have been keenly following the campaign of the Vice President, which has been a decent campaign focused on issues devoid of insults.
"Nananom of Krachi East have been following your campaign with interest and admiration," said Nana Oda Gyamfi III, Paramount Chief of the Asukoko Traditional Area.
"Your campaign, which is grounded in evidence, is issue-based and devoid of insults. Your humility is also infectious," the chiefs added.
The Krachi East chiefs also expressed admiration for Bawumia for his "exemplary" love for people, as well as his decent character, which they said has ensured that he has not been cited for any scandal as Vice President in eight years.
"During your eight years as Vice President of the Republic, you have not been cited for corruption or any fraudulent deal. To us, therefore, you are a credible and honest leader with integrity.
"Your love for all persons, without discrimination based on age, gender, ability, disability, tribal, or religious considerations, is exemplary."
The Krachi East chiefs expressed their confidence in Dr. Bawumia and prayed that his leadership qualities would be rewarded by Ghanaians, allowing him to become the next President of the country.
"We, Nananom in the Krachi East Constituency, are firmly convinced that Ghanaians will reward your steering qualities, credibility, delivery, humility, and excellent human relations by affirming you as the next President of Ghana on December 7."
Dr. Bawumia began his tour of the Oti Region on Saturday after completing a successful tour of the Volta Region on Thursday, October 24. Throughout his campaign tour of the country, Dr. Bawumia has been receiving commendations from chiefs, the clergy, and imams for his decent character, impact as Vice President, and positive campaign.
