The Member of Parliament for Manhyia North, Akwasi Konadu, has called on members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to embrace unity and ramp up grassroots mobilisation following the party’s Presidential Primaries on January 31.
On Saturday, February 7, Mr. Konadu convened a meeting with constituency executives to review the primaries’ outcomes and strategise for the 2028 General Elections.
He described the discussion as “fruitful, frank and forward-looking,” emphasising the need to prioritise party values such as unity, discipline, dedication, and selflessness.
The Manhyia North MP highlighted that the period after the primaries should focus on energising the grassroots, reorganising party structures, and engaging all members, including supporters of aspirants who did not secure nominations.
“Every member matters, and the strength of our party lies in our ability to move forward as one united front,” he stated. The meeting also underscored the importance of expanding the voter base, safeguarding internal electoral integrity, and strengthening community engagement.
Mr. Konadu expressed optimism that with concerted effort and a shared sense of purpose, the NPP could reclaim political power from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2028.
He described the meeting as an inspiring moment for the constituency and reaffirmed his commitment to leading a “determined and committed team.”
